Social media is a construct of the past. No emails. No smart phones. No telephones. And, no problems… until Bjørn runs into his wife’s used-to-be best-friend at a hotel bar and makes the terrible mistake of approaching her. He had no idea she’d become so bitter. Shouting allegations, she causes a scene.

As the salacious gossip rips through Mollyville, whispers of ‘a recognizing’ bleed through the community. Bjørn, laden with his rotten adult children, a careless, promiscuous wife and a vindictive ex-girlfriend, begins to fear the Olsens have rocked the boat a little too hard.

While Mollyville residents give each other a wide berth, tolerating all but some transgressions in the name of keeping the peace—there’s no formal law enforcement—there is an integrity-based peacekeeping by way of calling for ‘a recognizing’ when it’s deemed by influential members of the community that the peace and/or safety of Mollyville is threatened. In this instance, a fluctuating, self-assigned faction of residents take on roles of marauders to exact (a sometimes brutal) satisfaction, making a demand of retribution on behalf of the perceived wronged or the community at large in the most extreme cases of acrimony.

And Bjørn and his wife Eva are targets for murder.

Miles away, new arrivals to Mollyville, Janik and Nohl, two dodgy grifters tired of selling ‘sensual massages’ and asking for rooms and food on credit, decide to give up their lives of petty crime, allowing themselves to be mentored in the hopes of making Mollyville their new home. Plateau Nick, a crazy artist who prefers life in the forest, offers them a better way of life; it looks like the best thing going until an arms dealer named Merv makes each man an offer he can’t refuse, and they discover that—just like every other place they’ve been—there’s a cost to pay.

This story depicts disturbing relationships, employs suggestive descriptions, dark humor and frank language. It is intended for a sexually and emotionally mature audience.

I quickly became a fan of T. Maximillian Dafoe after reading her short story "Daughter and the Snake: A Bedtime Story for the Intellectually Adventurous" on a plane. I was so excited to see that she had written another piece that I actually PREBOUGHT Mollyville (which I never do) and am glad to report that I am not disappointed that I did! The only sad part is that I'm already done! This book keeps you engaged from day one! The characters become more than just characters they become friends! A true definition of a page turner, I recommend Mollyville for anyone who enjoys life! Until T. Maxximillian's next book is released, you can find me in Mollyville!

I read this novel over the holidays and so glad I did! I just couldn't stop turning the page...each chapter was filled with juicy new drama! The characters have entertaining personalities! I felt like I was right in Mollyville while reading this. I definitely recommend.
I read Mollyville on Christmas Eve, and quickly became enveloped in this world created by T. Maxximillian Dafoe. Such a tease she is, as I'm so curious now about this Mollyville and its inhabitants. I want the opportunity to read more about her characters who seem to reside on the edge of reality. Is Mollyville the setting of future tales? I hope that the answer is yes!
Complicated family issues surrounded by multiple sex & love triangles, all set in a mystical small town. Mollyville is intrigue on an intimate level. You'll be hooked in no time.
